How to Stop Microsoft Word from Not Responding when Copy and Paste Text

It was irritating when I tried to copy text from one Word Document to another Document but Microsoft Word crashes and keeps not responding. It is worst with large blocks of text and with tables! When this occurs I'm forced to close the Window. Sometimes it recovers the files and sometimes it does not.

Finally, I have tested a solution which can solve this annoying bug.
There are people explaining that one of the reasons that cause such crashing problem is the conflicts between styles or formatting from one document to another document.

How to Stop Microsoft Word from Not Responding when You Copy and Paste Text?

Solution:
1. Go File > Word Options

2. In Word Options > Advanced section
3. In the Cut, copy, and paste section, from the Pasting between documents when style definitions conflict, select Keep Text Only.

This should stop Word freezing when pasting from other documents. This may also help with word crashing when pasting from other applications as well. If you're experiencing problems pasting from a webpage, selecting the Keep Text Only option for Pasting from other programs may help as well.

Hope this helps.

How to Open Microsoft Word 2007 file in Microsoft Word 2003

Save files in this format: 选择 Word 97-2003 Document (*.doc)
